Navy Day in St. Petersburg begins with the lighting of the torches on the Rostral Columns—a special occasion, as the torches are lit only for major holidays. On Navy Day, the torches are usually lit twice:
In the evening, the Palace Bridge will be illuminated in the colors of the St. Andrew's flag (Russian Navy flag).
10:00 AM – 12:30 PM – Warship parade on the Neva River.
The parade will begin with a 12-gun salute from the St. Andrew’s Battery near the Peter and Paul Fortress.
The Russian national anthem will play, and the St. Andrew’s flag will be raised on the cruiser Aurora.
Live broadcast on big screens at Palace Square.
1:30 PM – Concert and public festivities at Palace Square.
Performances by military bands, song and dance ensembles from military districts.
6:30 PM – 8:45 PM – Evening concert at Palace Square.
10:30 PM – Festive fireworks display.
Free admission to all museums and cultural venues related to naval history on Navy Day.

Navy Day is one of the most popular summer festivals in the city on the Neva. Every year on the last Sunday of July, St. Petersburg hosts the main naval parade, featuring ships from all four fleets and one flotilla of the Russian Navy.
